Mira Oelmayer

Intern at the Geneva Human Rights Platform

Mira Oelmayer is currently pursuing an LL.M. in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights at the Geneva Academy and is an intern at the Geneva Human Rights Platform.

She successfully passed both of her state law exams in Germany and gained professional experience at a German law firm specializing exclusively in migration and asylum law. During her legal clerkship, she worked with the German Institute for Human Rights, focusing on issues such as police data processing, human trafficking, gender-based violence, and human rights in the context of climate protests. In addition to her German legal qualifications, she holds a Maîtrise I in International and European Law from Aix-Marseille Université in Aix-en-Provence, France.

During her studies, she began volunteering with her local Amnesty International group, where she organized a range of events, including panel discussions, film screenings, poetry slams, and lectures. She also participated in human rights education initiatives at high schools and universities.
