Vanessa Clairet-Goncalves is a Research Collaborator at the Geneva Human Rights Platform.
Before joining the Geneva Academy, Vanessa served as an intern at the Human Rights Council Branch, OHCHR, where she supported the sessions of the Human Rights Council and its subsidiary bodies. Prior to this, she served as an intern at the Centre for Human Rights, Migrant’s Rights Unit, Pretoria University, where she engaged in vital research pertaining to the protection of migrants' rights, including initiatives like establishing a dialogue platform with community leaders to address xenophobia. Furthermore, she contributed as a legal volunteer at NGO la Cimade, where her responsibilities involved in-depth research and analysis of national migration and asylum legislation.
Vanessa holds a master’s degree in International Human Rights Law and Diplomacy, from the Institut des Droits de l’Homme, Catholic University of Lyon and also holds a Bachelor’s degree (BSc Hons) from the University of Kent.
