Loredana Cristea is a human rights lawyer registered with the Bucharest Bar, Romania. She currently works at the Registry of the European Court of Human Rights, where she handles applications lodged against Romania alleging human rights violations and prepares cases for examination by the Court. Prior to this role, she worked for seven years as a senior litigation attorney at a leading business law firm in Romania, gaining extensive experience in handling complex legal disputes both nationally and internationally. She has also been involved in pro-bono cases, providing legal assistance to vulnerable individuals and supporting NGOs in their efforts to promote and protect fundamental rights.
She holds a Master of Laws in Judicial Careers and has been a scholar of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation's Rule of Law Program, where she focused on the consolidation of the rule of law in Southeast Europe.
