The Geneva Academy’s Integrated Hub for Human Rights Research, Expertise, Policy Engagement and Training

January 2018 - Present

The Geneva Human Rights Platform is the Geneva Academy’s integrated hub for research, expertise, policy engagement and training on contemporary human rights challenges.

Building on the Geneva Academy’s long-standing engagement in the field of international human rights law and policy, the Platform brings together research initiatives, expert dialogue, conferences, policy discussions, and training activities aimed at fostering informed engagement between academia, policymakers, practitioners, international organisations, civil society actors and affected communities.

As part of the Geneva Academy’s broader research and policy engagement activities, the Platform contributes to the promotion and effective implementation of international human rights law, particularly in situations of crisis, conflict, inequality, exclusion and technological transformation.

The Platform combines academic excellence with practical relevance and serves as a space for thematic and cross-cutting engagement in collaboration with States, international organizations, academic institutions, research centres, civil society actors, and independent experts.
