Hosted by academic partner institutions in Africa, Asia, North America, Latin America and Eastern and Western Europe, regional consultations bring together academic experts with treaty body members and representatives from regional human rights systems, national human rights institutions and civil society to discuss research questions with a particular regional perspective. Academic participants are requested to provide input papers to inform and structure the discussions and a summary report is produced by the co-organizers.
