Before joining the Academy, Clémence worked for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Paris, where she supported the implementation of digital communication strategies, produced content for advocacy campaigns, and collaborated with media, public figures and institutional partners to raise awareness on forced displacement.
Previously, she served as a Civilian–Military Affairs Assistant within the French Armed Forces in Senegal, conducting analyses on the geopolitical situation in the Sahel and Gulf of Guinea and developed reporting projects in the field. Earlier in her career, she worked as a trainee within the U.S Military Commissions Defense Organization in Washington DC, assisting a Human Rights Attorney in the defense of Guantanamo detainees and 9/11 defendants, and conducting research on international humanitarian law and human rights violations.
Clémence holds a Master’s degree in International Relations (Border studies: cooperation & conflicts) from Sciences Po Strasbourg.
