Alexandre Flückiger

Dean of the Law Faculty, University of Geneva

Holder of a bachelor’s degree (1990) and a doctorate in law (1996) from the University of Lausanne, Alexandre Flückiger joined the University of Geneva as an assistant professor in 2001 and was appointed full professor in 2007.

Recipient of the Professor Walther Hug Award, he has been a Visiting Scholar at the George Washington University Law School and headed the Legislative Methodology and Training Service at the Swiss Federal Office of Justice. His research and publications, in Switzerland and abroad, focus on constitutional and administrative law, with particular attention to legislative quality, clarity and evaluation, the development of soft law, and legislative drafting methodologies. They also address data protection, transparency and access to information, as well as environmental and construction law, regulatory law, and public governance.
