Valentin Zellweger

Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Switzerland to the UN in Geneva

Ambassador Valentin Zellweger is the Permanent Representative of Switzerland to the United Nations (UN) Office and to the other international organizations in Geneva.

Prior to that, he has been working for almost 20 years in the Swiss diplomatic service, notably as Head of the office of the first serving President of the International Criminal Court in The Hague and as Director of the Directorate of International Law (DIL) at the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.

Valentin Zellweger studied law at the universities of Basel and Neuch√Ętel and holds a PhD in public international law.
